Alpine Ski Rules

There are four disciplines of alpine that are divided into technical or speed. The distance between gates is the main difference between events.
You can expect an amazing atmosphere to win at the resort because everyone is looking for wards to see the worlds best to the mountain. In addition to the elec-tric anticipation, there is also a fun atmosphere of love as everyone gathers for partying, making new friends and participating in all the entertainment planned for two days.

Slalom – Races with the most tightest rounds and shortest skis. Gates, usually, is 6-13 meters tall and made of two flag gates.
Giant Slalom (GS) – Gates is usually 20-30 meters away with double gate pairs with double flags. This is a fast race but is still considered a technical event.
Super G – A speed show with a gate that should be at least 25 meters away.
Downhill – The fastest breakthrough and a great audience, downhill has the fewest gates and runs in the longest ski.
Combined / Super-merged – Slalom run combined with decreased or super-G.
GS Parallel, Slalom Parallel – Lower head to race on parallel course as opposed to race against time.
The high octane event will take place on December 19th, but the festivities continue until the 20th, so be sure to stay afloat.

How to get there
There are innumerable flights made from London to Geneva every week and flight time is just under 1.5 hours. Prebook transfer from Geneva to Courchevel to avoid public transport pressure.
